Tamzin Outhwaite considers Hollywood move |
LONDON: Tamzin Outhwaite says she is considering a film career and finds the idea of leaving her London home for Hollywood "very attractive".
The 32-year-old TV soap star said she would love to star in a British film, describing the industry on this side of the Atlantic as "brilliant".
It's a long way from EastEnders, which made Outhwaite a household name playing Mel.
Since leaving the series early last year she has shaken off the character, getting rave reviews for her roles in the BBC's feature film Out of Control, and Army drama, Red Cap.
She has recently been made the new face of Avon Colour and is also filming a two part drama called Final Demand.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday's Night and Day magazine, she described meetings with Hollywood agents.
"The idea of Hollywood is very attractive but you have to have the nerve. You've got to say no to everything in London first."
She said starring in a British film "would be wonderful.
"But it's finding the right thing, being what they want," she added.
